In the season of waning light, nature surges one last time. Sometimes shimmering in the golden light of the warm autumn sun, other times braving the first icy winds and morning frost, often in the same day. In the Rocky Mountains, September and October calmly bear the stress of preparation as life struggles to hold onto its own beauty, but finally lets go in a splendor of color and drama.
